  Select Records between Date/Time & Date/Time?

Author: Greg
Date: Sep 3, 2008 13:52

I've built a Point-of-Sale using "classic" asp (it's what I know) and I'm
trying to get daily sales totals. The problem is sales for the day do not
stop at 11:59pm. What is a clean way to select the records from say 8:00am
at start of business to 4:00am the next morning? I should be able to figure
this out, but I think I've been looking at this too long...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Greg

  #INCLUDE VIRTUAL

What is difference between having ' / ' in front of the virtual directory
name or not having. For example:

vs.

<
-- #INCLUDE VIRTUAL="include/ObjDef.inc" -->

For my web app, both seem to be working.. so, I am just curious.

  "Script timed out" error

Author: Justin Doh
Date: Aug 14, 2008 17:04

I am trying to retrieve a data over web using SQL2005 and ASP page.

I am still not able to fix my issue.
"Script timed out"

I think if I query data at SQL2005 directly, it takes about 2 min 38 sec.
and I am able to get data.

So, I am trying to fix at ASP coding.

First, I set up
<%% server.ScriptTimeout = 10000 %%>, but still getting error.

Second,
I have this set up this during the retrieval of recordset using a stored
procedure.
.ConnectionTimeout = 4800
.CommandTimeout = 4800

Thirdly,I had placed "Response.Flush" at the end of looping of data.

But I am still getting error.

If it runs fine at the SQL server directly, what can I do at ASP page?

I would appreciate for any help.
Thanks.

  Get a month's days and merge with a table

Author: Nime
Date: Aug 14, 2008 08:37

I have a time table:

jobid | dayno | job
1 | 2 | Report finished tasks
2 | 4 | Check all forms
...

I want to create a days list of a month and merge it with my jobs table.
The result should be like this:

dayofmonth | jobid | dayno | job
1 | NULL | NULL | NULL
2 | 1 | 2 | Report finished tasks
3 | NULL | NULL | NULL
4 | 2 | 4 | Check all forms
5 | NULL | NULL | NULL
6 | NULL | NULL | NULL
...
30 | NULL | NULL | NULL

Is it possible to do that wihout a dummy days table of months?
I created a day table of month like below:

  ASP and MySQL

Author: Risingfish

Hello,

We have an old app that we're having a problem with. We're using MySQL
through ODBC on in an old ASP application. We running into some odd
type mismatch errors are cause us fits and we just can't figure out
what's going on. The following SQL statement works for most people but
on a few it blows up with a type mismatch (this statement comes from a
customer that it's breaking on):

UPDATE Customer SET LastLoginIP = '', LoginCountSuccess = 55,
LoginCountFail = 2, DateLastLogin = now() WHERE CustomerID = 1146;

Looks normal to me... One of the guys mentioned that there are some
issues with using MySQL through ODBC, and I was wondering if anyone
might be able to help?

The MySQL database is located on a different server than the website
running this query fi that makes a difference, but again, it works for
most customers. Please let me know if any more information is needed
to help troubleshoot.

Thanks!
R
