How to link Frontpage with Excel

Author:
Date: May 14, 2010 09:58

I'm trying to create a website for our intranet which can be used to send
data to an excel spreadsheet. It's for our goods-in dept. We can only receive
25 pallets per day, so i want the website to ask questions like when/how many
pallets/ and where is the delivery coming from, but then link into the excel
spreadsheet which will allow or not the receipts. If for example we already
have 25 pallets booked in on Wednesday 6th June 2010, and someone tries (via
the website) to book in another pallet, i want it to come back and say
something like "day full, please choose another day" or something like that!
Is this possible? If so could you please direct me on how to do it?

Many thanks

  Not sure what I need...

Author: JeremyH1982

Hello,

I work for a footwear company, and we have a site, basic design, but I did
up a form on a page, in which a customer can place an order, and since we
don't deal with consumers, and just regular stores, we don't need credit card
information or anything like that, they have accounts with us.

Anyways, we have several style #'s that correlate specifically to style
name's, descriptions, & color. Depending on the style # they type in, depends
on the size run that would be available.

As of right now, it's all manually entered by the customer, I would like it
so when they type in a style #, the rest automatically populates, and a drop
down list is available with the sizes available for that size run.

I'm not sure what I'm looking to do, or rather, i'm not sure what needs to
be done to be able to do what i want done. I do know I need a database, or
something with all the information, not sure if i can do a .csv; if a
database, odbc? that would be the easiest for me to create and import the
data from our company software.

This is probably super simple, I'm just not sure what I'm looking to do, or
the proper terminology for what i want to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Download a Word 2007 Form from a FP 2003 Site

It is....for two reasons...one is that not everyone will have Word, the
second is unless you mess around with the Word form a lot, when someone
enters data it will mess up the formatting.

On the "http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/\"website's "VisiTec Section all pages
that link to"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/igproducts.htm" &
"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/igproductspage2.htm", will not open and i get
the default 404 page not found error. I have tried to republish the pages in
FrontPage 2003 both as a group and separately by right clicking publish
selected files and nothing. If you would like to test for yourself got to
"http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/" under businesses click "VISITEC" and then on
the left navigation of that page under "Product Lines" click "iG Media
Products" which is linking to "http://sl-life.awardspace.biz/igproducts.htm"
and you should get 404 page not found error when i checked the link in that
navigation and the page's file name they are all correct...

This really sucks.

I like the convienince of newsgroups, OE opens fast, I can post easily, and very, very
quickly look through groups to see what others are doing and learn from other posts. No
browser-click delay at all.

I'll miss these newsgroups.
