Uploading photos to site

My host uses/supports FrontPage Extensions & PHP but not ASP - the sitre
looks okay for now. All my pages are in HTM.

My client wants to be able to upload pics of his customer's vehicles into a
gallery page. I have the gallery page setup with a few pics I have addedd
manually.

I've tried several times to set up an upload page (form) with no luck due to
the ASP problem. Each time I create the page, the software creates
additional folders and a file that is apparentlly not recognized by the
host/server. I try to upload a file to the server but nothing happens (the
input field goes blank after I hit the submit button). Is there any way to
do this in HTM? I've also contacted my host for their input.

Thanks in advance from a novice++.

Hi Clif

If you are using standard html you will need some method of holding the
information. This is normally done using a database. If your host has support
for php then I presume they should also support Mysql. There are lots of
variables to think about on where, how, you require to images to be
displayed. If all else fails I would offer to put them up for your client for
a small service charge. If you are a novice Mysql and configuring the php
script required to serve the info is a no go area.

Good luck

You may want to add one of the many php photo gallery applications to your
client's site. Some are easier to customize to match your site than others.
