Publish with FTP versus Expression Web

Can you help? Publish with FTP versus Expression Web

I signed up with GoDaddy; http://iLouisiana.biz

I can logon with FTP before FrontPage extensions are installed.

But after FrontPage extensions are installed, then waiting 1 hour,
Expression Web cannot logon. It will not connect. It keeps asking for the
password. Over and over.

Then I try FTP again. It connects perfect. Then I *RE-Install* FP
Extensions, wait 1 hour and try with Expression Web again.

Same thing. It continues to ask for my password. Is that Expression Web or
GoDaddy ?

I removed the wireless router. I am behind Cox Cable with a standard Cox
Cable Modem using Microsoft Live One care for Anti-Virus and Spyware.

Really? Where are you looking?

try this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_?url=search-alias%%3Dsoftware&field-keywords...

If its that price then it's not a upgrade

If you have ew1 ... unless your very fed up with the ftp not retaining the
logins or work in php all the time... I would wait.

Thanks Kathleen, I bought it just now.
http://melvillehighschool.org

I want to buy a hosting account. I have 2 domain names. One domain name
will be the primary domain. The 2nd domain name will be an "add-on domain".

There are important differences between Parked, Add-on and sub-domains.

Each hosting company has a different Control Panel and a different method to
publish to a "Primary" domain versus an "add-on" domain.

I am looking for a hosting company with a "KB or help" file with step by
step "add-on domain publishing" using Front Page and / or Expression Web.

Without a step by step publishing help file each Tech Support person tells
you a different story and a different method.

If you have not such KB article, you know of another hosting company with
"add-on domain publishing" help files?

Thank you from New Orleans ~ Enjoy your Gumbo

Expression suite does not like Visual Studio SP1

Author: Rainer Engblom

I installed SP1 to VS2008 and immediately noticed some strange behavior in
Blend and Design. Both are now extremely slow and hang up repeatedly, Design
makes all programs stagger, but worst of all, Blend does not know I have VS
2008 installed anymore.
I also have VS 2005 installed (I still need it) and this is the version
Blend finds when I want to edit code behind.
Are there any tricks or tweaks I could do to make Blend open VS2008 instead
of VS2005? Any known issues that might cause (especially Design) Expression
programs to stall the whole machine when VS2008 SP1 is running?

Expression Web 2 upgrade setup fails

Author: KarenM

Hi all,
I'm $150CA, plus an entire billable day, out of pocket, and I've run out of
things to try. Hope someone can help.

(Note: my frustrations will be evident, but I know this is a user forum. I
respect, and will be very grateful for, any support offered. However, if
anyone from MS is listening... and if that person has any influence at all
over what gets unleashed, I mean released... Well, we should talk.)

Ok, I'll try and do this in chronological order in case it matters. First
things first:

Computer: Win XP Pro, SP 3. Lots of RAM and room. Two user accounts, in
addition to the Admin account. One for me, one for the kids. All programs
installed from my account--which had full admin rights--but not the Admin
account per se.
Me: Freelance technical writer, good with software generally but no IT
support, no IT background.
The timeline: Was using FP 2003, along with Office 2003 with BCM. Downloaded
trial of Expression Web, first opportunity.

Liked it, bought upgrade version, installed it from disk. Everything ran
swimmingly, except Add/Remove...continued to show "Expression Web Trial."

window id in javascript & XBAP

Author: MM

Would you please tell me how to start a wpf-Web application (xbap) with
maximize width and height and no toolbar, statusbar.

I wrote this code (below). When I executed, I got a new window with no
menubar, no toolbar, ...(as I expected) but it didn't moveTo(0,0) and it
didn't resize to maximize. It seems to me that XBAP changed its own window
id and didn't know the new window id (win2) ... Any clue?

Dim popupScript As String = ""
