Exchange 2000 Migration Questions

We are planning to install Exchange 2007 soon as an upgrade to our existing
Exchange 2000 server. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer.

1) If I install Exch07 in the same organization, will it recognize the
existing SMTP connector on the Exch2000 server?

2) With both servers running in the same organization, will inter-office
message routing cause problems?

3) If I move a mailbox from the Exch2000 server to the EXch07 server, will
Outlook 2000 pickup the change in AD, or will I need to update the user
profile on the desktop?

Thanks for any help. I am NOT looking forward to this change!
