Hello all
am running 2 exchange 2003 sp2 servers that are in the same admin and
routing groups. I replicate the free busy folders to both exchange servers,
and users are running Outlook2007. The issue I am having is when a user
schedules a reoccurring meeting, the meeting does get scheduled and the
meeting is seen in the users calendar and the resource mailbox calendar, but
when the user tries to delete the entire series of the meeting, its removed
from users calendar but the scheduled meeting still shows as scheduled in
the resource mailbox's calendar. When I open the resource mailbox I can see
the cancelation notice, but it appears that the notification is not being
processed by the resource mailbox and the meeting stays scheduled. I am
*not* experiencing the same issues with regular...

Hi guys,
I have a small business server 2003 (all apps in one box). I brought the
Exchange server to SP2. Anyways i need to recover 1 mailbox and 2 emails
from another mailbox on a NT backup files I
have keep last year.
I have followed this document from MS but i have it someone long and also a
bit more too much information for me to disgest at this point when I have to
get the emails out to the users. I really need some help here.

I got to this part so far:
1. Creating the recovery restore group under System Manager
2. Move the restore database to D:\program files\exchsrvr\recovery restore
group\ (edb and stm files)
3. Created the account for the Exmerge process and add appropriate rights
to it

Hi all
Anyone able to share knowledge on server specification please?
I have been offered the following spec for running Exchange Server 2007 on
Windows Server 2008
Hewlett Packard - Rack ProLiant DL360 G5 Xeon 5440 2830-2x6MB/1333 Quad
Core, HP SFF SAS
Integrated P400i/256 RAID Controller
2GB Memory 667 MHz - PC2-5300
Network adapter - PCI Express x4 - Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit
Ethernet - Ethernet Ports : 2 x Gigabit Ethernet
146GB Pluggable SAS SFF 10,000 rpm Universal Hard Drive x 4
ProLiant DL360 G5 700W Hot Plug Redundant Power Supply with IEC cord
The server will be in a domain environment with upto 50 clients.
The current database sizes under exchange 2003 are Priv1 - 19Gb, Pub1 -
28Gb.
How does the above stack up as a specification for a server expected to last
5 years?
Any more information needed for comment?
TIA

Heelo,
I use exchange 2007 with outlook 2003 and 2007 clients.
On my server i configured the scljunkthreshold like this :
set-organizationconfig -SCLJunkThreshold 3
For one of my mailboxes , i want to make an exception :
Set-Mailbox -Identity domain\mailbox -SCLJunkEnabled $true -SCLJunkThreshold
6
but that does not work, all mails with scl-level higher then 3 goto the junk
folder.
My second rule ( for the mailbox ) should overwrite the first one, correct?
Other suggestions?
Tx,

Exhange 2003.
Hi friends,
in our company whe have a public folder calendar where we insert
appointments of the boss. Everyone can insert and modyfy these appintments.
Now he asks how we can see who has insert a date in the public folder?
(shared calendar)
If I look into properties of that date/appointment I don't reach to
undersand who is the one who has originated it. I can see partecipants and
other stuffs only....
The boss want to know who is the guilty one....
thank you
Marco

Hi all
I had users delete as much junk as possible from inbox/sent items folders
etc yesterday.
The individual folder sizes have reduced accordingly, but the size of
priv1.edb has not altered.
I believe that this is something to do with the way exchange periodically
self compacts and that I am probably waiting for this operation to recover
disk space.
Can anyone tell me how to check the interval between these compactions
please?
TIA
Phil
