Hi,
I have close to 2300 mailboxes with 1000 being active and 1300 being
disabled.
I have 3gb memory in the server. What would be the rules and direction
if I wanted to add 1gb to it.
Thanks
Joe

Hi,
I have a Exchange 2007 SP1 box in my lab, trying out DPM and Exchange. I
am taking full express backup of my Exchange machine every 30 minutes and
synronize every 15 minute. I have configure DPM to run ESEUTIL on exvery
express full backup.
My question is regarding the log files. There is no traffic at all in my
Exchange server, it is only for DPM lab. There are mailboxes but no real
users. In my storage group log folder I can see seven files.
E02
E02res00001.jrs
E02res00002.jrs
E02tmp
E02000000C4
E02000000C5
E02000000C6
I am no Exchange guru, I am more inte Ops Mgr, but I think that E02 is the
normal transaction logfile, E02tmp is the normal temp transaction logfile,
.jrs files are reservated logfiles if the disc goes out of space. And the
other 3 files, are they logfiles that the E02 file use when it reach 1024KB?

Hi,
I wonder if there is a way to deny access for a particular user/mailbox to
all other mailboxes regardless of the Permissions being changed on a
particular mailbox object by a particular user. That is, I'd like the
user/mailbox "NoAccessUser" to be unable to Open any folders in any other
user's mailbox even if that other user has explictly granted the Permission
in thier Calendar for Default to have Reviewer Role.
Is this possible?
As a test I did try changing the Mailbox Rights on an individual mailbox
(say "TestUser") so that the permissions for "NoAccessUser" were set to Deny
for all except "Associated external account" (this was left blank). But, if
that same "TestUser" modified the Permissions on thier Calendar so Default
has the Role of Reviewer then the user "NoAccessUser" was able to Open the
Calendar of "TestUser".
Thanks,
Walt Bell

I have had a problem posting, so if this has bee posted - SORRY!
Using Windows 2003 entrprise with Member Servr Exchange 2003 Standard.
My problem:
1 - Accessing OWA profile remotely - NO PROBLEM!
Internally:
When I logon to the Gateway Server - I can access any and all user OWA
profiles.
When I logon to a workstaion on the LAN, I can access the OWA of the person,
I am logged on as.
When logged on to the workstation and I try to access another user's OWA
profile - all I get is the authentication Logon Name and Password dialog
popping up? the profile seems to want to load on the Desktop, but the logon
keeps popping up?
any and all help
Thx

I have one company that cannot send to our domain. the failure they receive
is:
550-xx.com [their IP] is currently not permitted to relay
they say it is on my end. But I am receiving other mail fine. What might
cause this on my end? Also, how can I check logs to see the failure on this
end?
TIA

In advance, let me apologize if this is double posted.... teranews is just
loosing too many of my posts, so I am trying out an alternative service.
I have some users who would like to "send as" a mail-enabled group. I was
able to make this work just fine with my PC/profile.
I have Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 configured as the default email editor.
From the message window, I can drop down options and check 'From' to get a
from field.
Unfortunately, not all of us have Word 2003.
If I am using the built in outlook editor, the options dialogue does not
provide me with a 'from' option.
Is there another way to facilitate 'send as' without using Word 2003 as the
editor?
Thanks,
Steve

Good afternoon!
Okay, this can possibly be one of the longest posts in the history of news
groups (some of you know my 'style'). I will try to keep it short and sweet
(which means 20 pages instead of 60!).
Exchange Server 2007 SP1
MS Outlook 2003 SP3 / MS Outlook 2007 SP1
WIN2003 SP2 AD
Four AD Sites (EXCH2007 - on box, in the HQ site)
Issue is that when a user (MS Outlook 2007 SP1) tries to use Out of Office
he/she gets the error message "blah! blah! Server not available". Yes, OWA
works just fine. Yes, MS Outlook 2003 SP3 works just fine.
This affects users in all four Sites. Yes, there are users in the Site in
which the EXCH2007 box is located.
The DigiCert Cert appears to be fine. I did not do it (probably why it is
fine!). Using OWA internally or externally does not present us with the
Cert error. We have about 65 users making use of Outlook Anywhere without
any issues. They are all MS Outlook 2003, so no OoO issues with them
(Thank, God! These 65 users are the Police Department!).

Hello,
I need to create a standard signature that applies to all my users
(something like: The information contained in this email is
confidential...) and in the same time i need to add a customized part
to each user with his/her name, title, phone, etc.
I have to do this centrally and also prevent the users from changing
that. As it is now, each user has their own signature, font, etc and
it is not working very well.
How can I do that?
Many thanks
