Distributed Transaction Error - SQL Adapter

Author:
Date: May 15, 2008 12:15

Getting this error message in the event viewer -
"HRESULT="0x80040e14" Description="The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB' was unable to begin a distributed transaction."

My Biztalk server and the database is one server (Server A). The SQL I am running is on a different server (Server B). And in the sql, I have a table that I am calling on another Server C.

Server A is a Windows 2008 Server with SQL Server 2005. Server B is a Windows 2003 Server with SQL Server 2000. And Server C is a Windows 2000 Terminal with SQL 2000.

Now if I leave out the table reference to Server C, the SQL Adapter receiving location works. What property is wrong or missing?

  FlatFile Schema + newline

Author: Bob
Date: May 15, 2008 11:10

Hi,

Is there a way with the FlatFileSchema to add an additional line feed
after the flat file it produced. I have a situation where we send a
stream and after every stream, there needs to be a line feed for the
consuming process to work with it. In the xml portion of the
document, is there a property that I am missing on the root to add the
additional line feed? It is a positional schema with a single rooted
instance.

Thanks,
Bob

Cannot get pipeline per instance configuration to work

Author: WilhelmE

Hi,

I am using BizTalk server 2006 R2 and a custom receive pipeline component to
write and promote properties to the message context. However, I am unable to
get it to work in a per instance configuration - the design time
configuration value is used.

I found a KB related to this (936349). The KB had an installation package
but I was not able to execute that one, perhaps since I am using XP and
BizTalk Dev Edition. I managed however to extract the SQL script it contained
and ran it towards the Mgt Database. This did not solve my problem.

By looking at the receive location in the database I can see that my per
instance configuration xml has been saved correctly but it is not used.

Does anyone have a clue how I should move on?

Thanks!
