Hello HILMAR11 and welcome to the RH community.
Before you do anything, take a backup of your project and store it somewhere
safe just in case...
Now are you saying you want to use the RH for HTML application rather than the
RH for Word application? If so, try opening the application and creating a new
project. As part of that process you have the option of importing files. There
are various options but try either an .rtf or hlp file. You can even try your
RH for Word project file. Give them a go and see the results.

Sorry, but I'm in fairly uncharted waters, as I abandoned RoboHelp for Word
many many moons ago. I had hopes it might be as simple as a rogue build
expression.
I'll have to defer to someone with more recent RoboHelp for Word knowledge to
assist further.
I do wish you the best of luck in sorting it! Rick :smile;

I have about 100 topics and 12 TOC Chapters... when I compile, the TOC only
shows 4 chapters and the topics compiled are only 17. PLEASE HELP!
Using Word 2003 and Robo Help 7 build 7.02
Thanks,
Heather
P.S. I called tech support yesterday and they said to delete the TOC and re-do
it... I did, that didn't help.

I need to convert old RH for Word projects from version 4.1 to RH 6. The
problem is that the old project files have names with embbeded spaces. For
example, I have a project called Purchase Order.hpj. I tried converting a few
of these projects, where the conversion seem to run smoothly, but when I tried
to compile new additions or changes, the table of contents and the main project
would not show up the converted project.
I have been using the word document, deleting all topics, jumps and links and
starting from scratch, but this requires to much effort and time. Is there a
better way?:confused;

Hello,
I was putting the finishing touches on my RH7 project and readying it for
final edits when I had a failure generating the WinHelp output. I went back to
check things and noticed that all of my topics are gone in RH Explorer. My Word
file is fine (thank heaven), but without topics to connect to my TOC, I can't
do much. I've tried renaming and regenerating the .rtf file, but that didn't do
anything. Any assistance is greatly, greatly appreciated.

For sample and 3-topic test projects, I get the same error message when I try
to open any topic generated with a WinHelp 2000 primary layout:
"There was a problem running the macro. (1037)"
Test projects contain 1 plain-text line each. RoboHelp sample is a bit more
complex, but I get the same error message in all cases. I need to know:
(1) What triggers the error
(2) If 1037 refers to an error number or a macro number
(3) Where error numbers or maco numbers are documented
Any help would be appreciated. I can't use this pricey upgrade and I don't
have my original version of RoboHelp installed on this system. I'm working on a
tight deadline (of course).
Thanks!

I am working with a client provided Winhelp 4 system and cannot get the title
of the Secondary Windows to change. I have updated the name of the help system
everywhere that I should have (Project>Settings and Winhelp Single Source
Layout) but for some reason when I compile the Help, the old product title
appears in the secondary window title bars.
Oddly enough, when I go to Project>Windows>Main, the WYSIWYG display shows the
correct window title. However when I double click the Example Window on the
left, the Window Title field on the right shows the OLD project name. However,
that field is not open for editing.
I have tried compiling the Help with Author settings on, then switching back
to Normal and that didn't work.
Any ideas? I'm at my wit's end on this one.
Thanks in advance,
Barbara

Earlier today, I made some changes to some topics (deleted them) and tried to
compile the help. Nothing happened. So I tried to close Word, to restart it. It
kept asking me if I wanted to save a particular document. I replied YES, but it
just wouldn't save the file.
Doing a Google search, I found a very helpful page at
http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh7/using_rh7.htm
I checked and RHComAdd.dll wasn't disabled. Also, I was running 7.02, which
should have contained the patch. I still couldn't save or compile.
I closed Word and then closed RoboHELP, without saving the file.
I reopened it using RoboHELP and tried a compile. It worked. I deleted those
three topics again and saved. It saved. It also compiled.
Anyone else still having this problem? I believe I originally opened the file
by navigating to it using RoboHELP, so I really don't see why I had this
problem.

Hi,
I just got off the phone with customer service and they told me to post my
problem here (why customer service is directing me to a message board for this
issue rather than fixing it themselves is another issue I suppose!). My boss
bought me an upgrade copy of RoboHelp 7. The only previous version of RoboHelp
we had in the office was RoboHelp Office v.6, which this upgrade was supposed
to work with. So I installed the new version and entered the new serial number,
which worked fine, then it prompted me for my old product and serial number.
In the drop down menu for previous product, I only have 2 options: Adobe
RoboHelp 6 and RoboHelp x5 (neither of which is the product we own), but it
doesn't matter which one I choose, it won't take the serial number. The serial
number for the old product is WH600-76ZSTEOM.
I first used the online chat and the rep told me to call customer service and
they'd unlock me and I wouldn't need a previous code. So I did that, and the
rep there gave me a new code to try: RHO13MXRD7QVVVBB4ETJTEHTA
which didn't work either, and that's when he directed me to the forums...
I need to get this up and running ASAP, we're about to release and I need to
update the Help files. Thanks!

When you generate a printed doc (in this case, Word output), you are supposed
to get output of topics in a sequence that follows the TOC as outlined on the
TOC panel in RoboHelp.
Instead, I am getting a complete jumble, with some topics even repeated. I
have tried every combination of settings and kludges known to man (I am pretty
resourceful about this, usually), but nothing seems to have any effect on it.
The one good thing I can say is that it is consistent in the way it scrambles
the topics.
I am using the latest RoboHelp with Word 2003 on an XP box. At this point we
are reduced to cutting and pasting about 366 topics to rescramble them in the
correct order.
HELP!!!
