CLOSING A PATH MADE UP OF CURVES USING PEN TOOL AND STRAIGHT LINES USING LINE TOOL

Hi,
I have just started using Fireworks and am unable to close a figure
made up of curves using pen tool and line segments using pen / line tools. How
do I plot points on any given shape and close it so that i can colour the shape
. Right now I am not able to give colour to the shapes I have created.

Please help

Even open shapes can have a fill color. In the Mixer palette, click the color
selector next to the paint bucket.

If you want to connect segments that are not connected, select the pen tool
and click on the two nodes you want to connect.

If neither of these works, then yes, please post a your image so we can see
what you're doing.

Hi Sanjish,

I suggest you look at the Path Panel for vector related operations. It
is accessible under Window->Other menu item.
It is very handy for a lot of vector operations. The tooltips within
it will help you find the operation that icon can perform.
