Demo problem with System Date reset

Author: jon a
Date: Jul 23, 2008 08:08

Hi, I just downloaded the Dreamweaver and Flash demos. Coincidentally, I need
to have Dell service replace my motherboard, which will trigger a system date
reset, I think. I am worried that this will play havoc with these demos and
their 30 day clocks. Are there any suggestions for a smooth transition?
thanks in advance.

Re: ReferenceError: onOpen is not defined

After a failed shutdown I started having allll sorts of problems the next day,.
This was one of them. Murray's solution fixed 99%% of them (thanks Murray!)

I was still getting an onload error which went away after I uninstalled Adobe
Developer Toolbox extension (more trouble than it's worth - I won't miss it)
I suspect that if I reinstalled it and re-registered it that everytihng would
work fine, but less is more lately.

  html validation error

Author: h2olover
Date: Jul 23, 2008 07:49

I have created a Dreamweaver template which validates fine. However a code I
used on a page based on the template in an uneditable region does not. The code
is:

onload="MM_preloadImages('/images/menu_on.gif')?;initLightbox()">

Can anyone help me with this?

  Change cell picture background

Author: Jim Rehmann
Date: Jul 23, 2008 07:44

I have a table that is divided into two columns (only 1 row). In the left cell
I have a question with a "Submit" button, and in the right cell there is a
background picture. What I want to happen is when the user answers the
question and clicks the Submit button, the picture that's a background in the
cell on the right is replaced with another picture (which is the same picture,
but faded out to 10%%). I then want the text saying "you're correct" or "you're
incorrect" to appear overlaid on the faded out picture. I can do everything
except figure out how to replace the background picture with a different
background picture.

How can I do it?

  Locks up

I am still running Dreamweaver 3. I know I know... I have bought CS3 but
have to get a bigger computer to run it. But my problem is I have used DW3
for many years and now all of a sudden it won't run. It starts up and says
loading behaviors then just sits there. Anything I can do to get this back
up and running?

I see what you are getting at and what the method will give me (it will show me
what DW thinks the path is). I'll try that when I get home tonight and get back
to you. The site I'm working on is a drupal 6 theme so the it really doesn't
have a "home page" in any common sense, but I can fake one.

BTW at one point I was thinking something like this and redefined the site
further down in the directory structure of the actual site (both remote and
local) and was still seeing the problem. However, if the funky character (one
other than the one sitting in the chair at the computer) is higher in the
directory structure, that wouldn't have solved the problem.

Thanks... Now I can't concentrate on my work because I want to go home and try
this! :wink;

  Artistic looking templates

Author: Sootica

I'm a volunteer webmaster for a school foundation. Our marketing manager wants
a new design for our site, since we've had the current design for about a year
and a half. The current design was my own:
canyoncrestfoundation.org . Most of the templates I have found are quite busy,
with lots of columns and boxes, not much room for text, and the folks I'm
working with love to have lots of text. (And I know that it would be better to
have less text.) Anyway, I'm not quite sure how to describe what I'm looking
for, but basically, we're an arts school, and I'm looking for a template that
doesn't look recycled from a business, and isn't too full of clutter. Anyone
know of a good source of templates with a streamlined, somewhat sophisticated
design? Someone from the school recommended templatemonster...
