I already had a look at the archive before posting here, it isn't really a lot
uf useful information.

I have a Sparcstation 4 and 10 here (the SS 10 needs new fans, though,
but I think I have them here already), probably another one at work. If
anybody is interested to do Debian work on them I'll give them away for
free, probably also pay for the shipping.
Cheers,
Bernd

I'm not sure what the point of using a different list for the 1 or 2
people interested in sparc32 is going to help you. It's not like
debian-sparc is overcrowded.

Julien

Hi, Julien.
People have mentioned sparc (32) becoming a separate port on Debian,
so that we can rally the troops and make a concerted effort. This
idea seems not to be of any interest, so I think that it is good that
this list has been created. We need to get a greater readership,
though. Not sure how.
Cheers,
Chris.

Right, and I'm saying that using a new list with no subscribers isn't
the greatest idea if you want to get a broader readership. IMHO, YMMV,
etc.
Cheers,
Julien

Don't suppose you have any spare RAM for a sparcstation?
Cheers,
Chris.

Julien,
You may be right, but it seems hat sparc (32) users are understandably
getting lost, because the interest is in sparc64. If nobody is
interested (or are unable) to work on 32-bit stuff, then maybe a new
list is what is needed. Hence the point about Debian having a
separate sparc (32) port.
I'm reluctant to say more, as the sparc developers will tell me that I
can say this as much as I want, but it won't change the fact that
nobody is able to support 32-bit.
Cheers,
Chris.

SPARC32 stuff on debian-sparc@l.d.o is off topic as soon as sparc32 is
officially dead as an official Debian port. Some Debian SPARC maintainers
may want to keep the list on-topic, i.e. on the Debian SPARC (64bit) port.
Also, this list (tries to) makes it clear that this is not generic sparc
related stuff, but 32 bit specific stuff. I was hoping that those who're
interested in the port could find a sort of focus point instead of getting
lost in other discussions.

I do, 4 Modules, 16MB each from a Sparcstation 10, untested (but should
work), Label says MH1M144CTJ-6, must be third party modules.
Greetings
Peter
