Greetings! Of a sudden, gclcvs_2.7.0-86, a package which autobuilt
successfully on 8/2, no longer builds in sid. Curiously, I get this:
camm@merulo:~/ gclcvs-2.7.0/unixport$ file raw_pre_gcl
raw_pre_gcl: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, IA-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.8, not stripped
camm@merulo:~/ gclcvs-2.7.0/unixport$ ldd raw_pre_gcl
not a dynamic executable
camm@merulo:~/ gclcvs-2.7.0/unixport$ strace -f ./raw_pre_gcl
execve("./raw_pre_gcl", ["./raw_pre_gcl"], [/* 16 vars */]) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
+++ killed by SIGKILL +++
Please advise,

Hi, Rob.
I've read you wanted to support nspluginwrapper on ia64. I can't try
ia64, but I know the powerpc case (flashplayer). I've put the i386 files
from nspluginwrapper into a separate package. The native part is
compiled on powerpc and the i386 part is repackaged from another
architecture.
Perhaps you might want an ia64 user to test this procedure.
(I don't think this will reach debian-ia64, but CCing anyway)
Bye.

I'm having sporatic failures to boot on an sgi750 (2x733MHz Merced)
which I've recently obtained. Once the system is up, however, it's rock
solid, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem. Also, the problem
occurs whether booting from CD or booting from the hard drive. If I try
to boot from the CD, the error looks like this:
CD:
Uncompressing Linux... done
Loading file \initrd.gz... done
[ flashing cursor mocks me until i reboot ]
HD:
Uncompressing Linux... done
Loading file \EFI\debian\initrd.gz... done
[ flashing cursor mocks me until i reboot ]
Only difference is the path to initrd.gz. Debian etch 4r3 and 4r4 boot
cds both have the same problem. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or
reason I can discern to the failures, which occur on 1/2 to 2/3 of
boots. It looks like the same problem as:
