  [buildd] Configuring buildds for dports

Author: Stephen R Marenka
Date: Sep 19, 2008 15:10

It sounds like we have the missing changes problem sufficiently sorted.
So Tuesday, September 23, aurel32 will do the sid sync for m68k. I'll
provide him with a w-b dump.

That means we need to have all the buildds *down* and all the packages
*installed* before then.

Since needs-build is pretty much 0, it's a pretty good time to start
shutting down buildds and changing things to point to dports.

So here's a typical configuration of .dupload.conf for ftp-master. The
debian-devel-m68k-changes list doesn't seem to have been used since
2003. I have no idea about mailto. Should we still populate these
fields?

Hi,

about : unifont_5.1.20080914-1_m68k.changes

Can porter to m68k re-upload this?

I did sponsor uploaded with amd64 packages. So the following from
anthony is m64k porter issue. (d-devel post exists too.)

I have filed a bug report for fastjar with my finds.

Cheers, and have a great day!

I got the same segfault with fastjar on my machine. Im working on
creating a testcast for this fastjar bug
.
The segfault with fastjar can be avoided by configure icedtea6 to use
gjar-4.3 instead on m68k.

On my machine i hit another build error a bit further: see the attached log
My icedtea6 build is configured with ./configure --with-jar=gjar-4.3
For some reason JAVAC_CMD is unset when compiling the classlist for the
openjdk-ecj bootstrap part.

  icedtea zero M68K atomic patch

Author: Xerxes Rånby
Date: Sep 12, 2008 07:10

Greetings!

Here is a patch for the M68K zero port to deal with missing atomic
operations in M68K hardware, here implemented using a processor specific
CAS instruction found on most 680X0 CPUs. It will priobably work on
68020 68030 68040 and 68060.
Suggestions are welcome how to make improve it to work on all M68K cpus
compatible with Linux/M68K like the ColdFire who lacks the CAS instruction.

I have included a small testprogram as well that can be build with g++
to test the zero atomic headerfile without compiling the whole hotspot.
xerxes@aranym-m68k:~/test$ g++ atomictest.cpp
xerxes@aranym-m68k:~/test$ ./a.out
start of test
testing Atomic::xchg
testing Atomic::xchg_ptr
a=C0FFEE b=CAFEBABE
Atomic::xchg() works!
c=EFE6A938 &b=EFE6A938 d=EFE6A93C &a=EFE6A93C
Atomic::xchg_ptr() works!

  Reviewing data in the debian-cd packages

Author: Steve McIntyre
Date: Sep 10, 2008 16:50

Daniel's helpful bug (#497270) points out that we have embedded copies
of isolinux in the debian-cd package. It's prompted me to look for
other embedded data, and I've found the following list:

tack:~/debian/debian-cd/debian-cd$ find . -type f | xargs file | \
grep -v text | grep -v -e \.png -e \.jpg -e \.gif | \
awk '{print $1}'
./data/etch/sbm.bin.gz:
./data/etch/isolinux.bin:
./data/cts_amiga_info.tar.gz:
./data/macinstall-cd.tar.gz:
./data/lenny/sbm.bin.gz:
./data/lenny/vesamenu.c32:
./data/lenny/isolinux.bin:
./data/sarge/sbm.bin.gz:
./data/sarge/isolinux.bin:

Of those:

* isolinux.bin and vesamenu.c32 come from the syslinux package
* sbm.bin.gz comes from the sbm package
