New comer...

Author: Edi Stojicevic

Hi,

I'm planning to package RT::Client::Console which is a package for
Request Tracker to use in any terminal.

I already did some pkgs in the past for my personal use but didnt have
time to pass all the tests to become a DD. So I'll probably need a
mentor to upload the packages for me.

So I just started to play a little bit with dh-make-perl but there is a
couple of modules needed that apparently are not packaged yet :

* relative
* Curses::Forms
* RT::Client::REST

I would like to know where I could check if someone is working on them
and if not if I can do it ...

Cheers,

Allow me to suggest you joining the group, where you'll find plenty of
advice and some DDs (now with two moreâ„¢! :)) that will happily sponsor
your modules.

Hi Edi,

I'd like to mention that there's the pkg-request-tracker team, currently
maintaining request-tracker3.6 and rtfm. RT CPAN modules would be on-topic
there too.

Unfortunately we're short on manpower (see my RFH, #469353), so it would
probably be better to maintain these new packages with the pkg-perl
team at the moment as there are more people around that can help out
and upload. Damyan and Martìn already gave pointers for that.

Anyhow, as you're apparently interested in RT on Debian, please consider
the RFH too :)

-guest is automatically added for non Debian Developers.

I've added you to the project, welcome! :)

The next step is to svn-inject the packages you have ready and request a
review (either here or in IRC).

Do you have time also to package Devel::PerlySense ?
(which is a nice Perl IDE for emacs (mostly) and vim)

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=474692

And may be Test::MemoryCycle ?

Cheers

Allready packaged. Due to a name clash with a package providing a
'kanji code converter' it is packaged as ack-grep.
