"The default is to boot from a local device"
(I changed media to device because "media" is plural, and "medium" is
confusing.)

I, too, have noticed that since 2.6.8, some OSS drivers are missing.
For me specifically, "osssolo1.ko" is missing and my IBM ThinkPad needs it.
This module is present in 2.6.8 but that version is too old to support
udev and some other things.
Please include these modules if possible. Thanks!
Brian

The attached patch creates a new config option ONLY_BUSYBOX which can be set
if you want to use busybox instead of kinit. It saves over 200K of
compressed size on my system.
I believe that this should be included, it doesn't stop kinit being used,
merely provides another option.

If it is indeed an ethernet driver issue, why does nfs cause errors when
transferring file _to_ to the server only?
Transfers from the server to the client cause absolutely no errors.

Sorry to nag you with this bug, but it is still there! Reading
through the patch I had mailed, I got the both files reversed. After
talking to a friend who is more into kernels and C, it is probably
better to put the reboot fixup for this...
