I'm using the VMessageList(AS400Message[]) class supplied by IBM in JT400.
==> new VMessageList(pcml.getMessageList(programname)));

However, it seems that this class is indicates as deprecated.

Any suggestion on which class to use to get same info?

I agree. IBM has other options normally other than re-implementing standard
Sun classes. It's a real problem when they do that. Bad design with little
concern for compatibility. I ran into that with an early version of sdo in
wdsc v5.
