Regenerate nnfolder:archive?

It says regeneration done, but it doesn't display all my old mail - only the new ...familiar with the nnfolder backend - can you not just copy data in and regenerate as you can with nnml? Could XPe regenerate protecte volume?

I've tried "GHOST" to map the whole disk(after the installation) into an .gho image using ghost 8.2, but when I recover the disk using that ghost image,the protected volume is missing!
