... be a bit trickier on OSX, as it's (sort of) BSD underneath. I was helping port IsForth to FreeBSD, and we had to put in .text and .data (and maybe .bss) sections for it to run. IsForth uses brk() instead of the ELF headers to allocate blank memory for the dictionary; without that we might not have needed the .data section. But FreeBSD was definitely much more picky than Linux. --Josh

Thanks for the typing tip. It turns out that I used x+0(SB) instead of x+0(FP) for some of the arguments to a functions. Now to test. On May 18, 2008, at 8:02 AM... same external symbol is declared with different types in different source files. the linker is picky. "uint" and "int" are not compatable. - erik
