..., combined with neutral drift over time will result in a terrible, ugly, language with no accuracy or etymological coherency whatsoever! Not linguistic relativism, but descriptivism against prescriptivism. I'm firmly in the descriptivist side. I don't think a spoken, live language can be "ugly", and accuracy and etymological coherency are two ways of say stagnation. Juanma
