VILLARD BOOKS
JAN083947F Flight Explorer vol. 1 sc, 5"x7", color $10.00
Edited by Kazu Kibushi
'The first in a new series, Flight Explorer is a full-color graphic
novel anthology containing short stories sparked from the minds of some
of the most popular creators from the Flight anthologies. From Kean
Soo's popular Jellaby character to Kazu Kibuishi's own Daisy Kutter,
Flight Explorer features characters and worlds that will appeal to young
readers. Effective in reaching reluctant readers and bibliophiles alike,
Flight Explorer is destined to appeal to younger fans of books and
graphic novels and the parents who want to introduce them to the wide
world of reading.' The four Flight anthologies so far have all been
superb; this series may not be as good, at least for adults, but on the
other hand it looks to be a lot furrier. I'll give it a try.

The Panchatantra characters are summoned from their own stories to
Council Rock in the center story world of Kathagraha, where their

subjects to face the peril that threatens to overwhelm them, shadows
lurk in the forest--it might already be too late. The Panchatantra
heroes face imminent danger but questions still remain: Can Jack really
be trusted? Will Vishnu put self-preservation above the needs of his new
friends? We'll never tell, but one thing's for sur
--this tale is about
to get a lot more...graphic.'
