Arab states decide to break sanctions to Palestinians

The secretary-general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, says Arab states have
agreed not to cooperate with sanctions imposed on the Hamas-led Palestinian
Government by western countries.

The announcement was made after Arab foreign ministers held emergency talks
in Cairo.

The meeting was called to discuss how to respond to the American veto of a
draft United Nations resolution condemning recent Israeli military actions
in Gaza.

Mr Moussa said the decision to break the financial blockade was in response
to the US veto.
