So what do you think about the situation in Georgia?
I must say I'm kinda scared about Russia these days. Russian strategic
bomber aircrafts do their daily long distance routines outside the
Norwegian coastline weekly, if not daily. Sometimes they go nearly all
the way down to the Netherlands. And their fighters regularily
trespass into our airspace and has to be cut off by our fighters. Yet
our government try to calm things down, probably for fear of annoying
Russia and upsetting important business links between Russia and
Norway. I think our government must be sleeping, or dumb.
Then we have the Russian cyber war against Estonia last year.
And then we have the not so subtle way Putin's people assasinated
Litvinenko, in the middle of western Europe, using a dangerous
radioactive substance, with little regard for the safety of bystanders
or fellow British Airways passengers.
I feel sorry for Georgia. They probably can't get into NATO with the
amount of unsettled borders that they have, yet it's imperative for
their survival that they get some backup from allies. If they had been
part of NATO now, we would have all been at war with Russia now.
