I passed my driving test in 1989 in an automatic transmission car and so my
license was for automatics only.
In 1999 I moved house and sent for a new license with a change of address.
I didn't look at it when it came back , I just put it away. I had no need of
it. In 2004 I had a burglary and my driving license was among the things
taken. It was later ditched and I got it back from the police but in
between time I applied for a replacement. Again I didn't bother to look at
it.
Well I needed it for identification the other day ( I don't have a
passport). I took a look at the license and there was nothing about
restrictions to automatics only on it ( the first one I had had this written
across it quite clearly).
I then dug out the old license ( defunct/ stolen returned but kept for
sentimental reasons) and that didn't have any restrictions on it either. I
checked it against my husbands ( manual license, he passed his test in 1970)
and it is identical in all respects except of course for the name and
number.

The HOUSING CORPORATION is a very powerful quango that allows some memebers
with not the best reputation to operate in a very dubious way, this was the
case of Crystal Palace Housing Association in 1991 which went about
mis-representing leases to the public in the media and by any means it saw
fit.
The Housing corporation member I am referring to has many names and may have
a new one now but some are: Crystal Palace Housing Association, South London
Family Housing Association, SLFHA Ltd, HORIZON HOUSING GROUP
*THIS WAS AN OPERATION OF ABOUT 70 to 80 PROPERTIES: 4 to 5 Million Pounds
of 1991 money! And values were falling, there was a crisis.
*The leases were misrepresented at the time of sale targetting people
without experience, while the "professionals" who drafted the leases and
sales contract appear to have catered for this process of supplying people
without experience illegal information behind their legal advisors back,
because the lease / sales contract combine to disown anything guranteed
during the process of sale, leaving the public exposed to that dishonesty:

Telenet heeft een migratie gedaan van haar nieuwsservers.
Wat betekent dit concreet voor jou als gebruiker?
Er verandert niets aan de service, maar om verder gebruik te maken van de
Telenet nieuwsgroepen service moet je bij de instellingen van je nieuwslezer
het adres van de nieuwsserver veranderen van news.telenet.be of
newsbin.telenet.be in newsgroups.telenet.be. Verder dien je de authenticatie
op deze nieuwsserver uit te schakelen.

and
"Absolutely no requirement to buy the remainder" they also assured us
and
"Does the rent ever go up?" they asked in their own leaflets
"Yes it goes up in line with inflation" they answered

I am visiting England in January/February time frame for about 3 months.
Once there, I plan on looking for a job and a work permit. For reasons
beyond the scope of this topic, I don't want to apply for HSMP yet.
Can somebody please educate me on what my legal options are? I heard one can
work in Europe for 3 months without a work permit and only after 3 months do
you require a work permit and continue with your job.

Hi,
I have a neighbour who claims that a small strip of land behind my garage
which he had been using over 15 years now belongs to him even though in the
deeds, it belongs to me.
Can he possess that piece of land and build on it without my permission?
I have a neighbour from hell and he applies all tricks to give me trouble.
Recently he presented a drawing to Council showing encroachment of my land
and we built a fence to protect ourselves, which he should have financed.
