Lenni Brenner has collated documents that relate to how the Zionist
movement collaborated with German Nazism and Italian Fascism. Given
the subsequent Holocaust against the Jews by the Nazis, many will be
surprised and appalled that a political movement, which supposedly
supported Jewish liberation, was prepared to collaborate with the most
anti-semitic of regimes.
Among the documents is the relatively well known and infamous Stern
Gang Proposal¹ in which the organisation of future Israeli PM Yitzhak
Shamir offers to join in WWII on the side of the German Reich¹. There
is also the embarrassing documents of the German Zionists who saw the
Nazis as fellow nationalists and were thus sympathetic to German
national renewal¹, the memoirs of an SS officer who stays in Palestine
as the guest of the Zionist movement for 6 months.
