... validates the opinion of the 32-X game a Time-Warner Interactive (Atari) employee expressed to me in the mid-late 90's (I didn't believe him at the time because I felt that the Saturn version trumped it, mainly based on system specs and no other real tangible reason). TWI used the real arcade code as the basis for the underlying game, BTW. The whole "arcade perfect" argument is flawed ...

... a lot of the effects that dithering and other graphical special effects provide.. The big reason for wanting S-video from the Genesis hardware is higher color fidelity. Sega's composite output on the Genesis and the Saturn is already really high quality, so using S-video isn't as much of a step up as it is for other game consoles. ... going into the computer using the S-Video input anyway. I've taken shots using the Sega brand S-video cable, and the VGA box using its S-Video out, and have yet to notice any differences. Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. I had the VGA box coming out of the Saturn and my computer monitor plugged directly into the VGA box. Got scanlines. Couldn't believe it...turned it off. Bel
