Rounding corners on a rectangle

How to I get the corners to round off in a symmetrical way on a
rectangle (Draw 10). I don't mean so that the corners all look
the same but I want each corner to be symmetrical as it is when
you round the corners of a perfect square.

Allan,

When you draw the rectangle, make sure it is to the final size (or same
aspect ratio as the final). The radius of the rounded corners will be
circular, as on a perfect square. If you resize the rectangle out of the
original aspect ratio (using side or bottom handles), the radius of the
rounded corners will also be adjusted to ovals.

I hope I understood your question correctly.

Your quetion needs rephrasing.
Can you explain the problem (or requirement) in simple sentences.
No offence meant...but ....honestly I just could not understand any thing
from your question.

Allan,
The rectangle must not be altered before rounding the corners. It helps
to draw a guide object and then copy it to a specific location relative
to the first. Then you can use your snap to object feature to draw the
rectangle.
