Posting and moderation policies

Post not getting through? New to Usenet?

Comp.parallel is a moderated news group. All posts first get emailed to me,
the moderator, for distribution. This was simpler in the grand old days
pre-spam. Your moderator like many other people is at a site which
employs 2 spam filters. Your post must penetrate those filters.
Some times a post arrives and is a false positive. Perhaps that's your post.
The moderation isn't controlled by Google, or various other news sites and
archives, it's controlled by the "community" represented by me.

It doesn't help that your own person attempts to avoid spam include user
names aliases, etc. You can retry a direct emailing to me in case your
attempt to post ends up in my spam bucket or bounces. Try again.

Additionally, NNTP, the Network News Transport Protocol, is a
notoriously unreliable, low-priority, protocol. Most other protocols
are favored by computers on the net over posting articles.

SEM Makes Supercomputing with Mathematica Simple--Right on Your Mac

Author: Wolfram Research
Date: Jul 29, 2008 07:39

July 29, 2008--SEM 1.0.2 (Supercomputing Engine for
Mathematica) creates a standard way for each Mathematica kernel
in the cluster to communicate directly with every other kernel by
utilizing Message-Passing Interface (MPI) specification.

As a result of the collaboration between Advanced Cluster
Systems, LLC (ACS) and Dauger Research, Inc., SEM enables
Mathematica to be combined with Dauger Research's Pooch (Parallel
OperatiOn and Control Heuristic application) clustering
technology.

By running gridMathematica with MPI technology, its power can be
integrated with Pooch's ease of use and reliability in
high-performance computing. This new technology will further
enhance the power of both clusters and gridMathematica for SEM
users.

SEM works with gridMathematica and Mathematica Personal Grid
Edition to provide supercomputing capabilities to users in a wide
array of research and industry fields.
