Hi,
I have a Solaris 9 server. Yesterday morning(on 30/12/2007) all of
sudden my root filesystem got 100%% full.
I cheked with "du -h" command but did not found any big file. Somehow
I was able to bring my root filesystem to 95%% mark. But I'm on
constant pressure from my manager's to bring my file system to that
level where it was. Previously root filesystem was 65%% used. Can you
please help me, how do I use find command,so that I can easily find
out what all files and folders were created or modified on 30th
December,2007 (30/12/2007).

Linux is a free operating system that was created by Linus Torvalds
when he was a student at the University of Helsinki in 1991. Torvalds
started Linux by writing a kernel - the heart of the operating system
- partly from scratch and partly by using publicly available
software. Torvalds then released the system to his friends and to a
community of "hackers" on the Internet and asked them to work with it
and enhance it. It took off.
Today, there are hundreds of software developers around the world
contributing software to the Linux effort. Because the source code for
the software is freely available, anyone can work on it, change it, or
enhance it. On top of the Linux kernel effort, the creators of Linux
also drew on a great deal of system software and applications that are
now bundled with Linux from the GNU software effort (GNU stands for
"GNU is Not UNIX"), which is directed by the Free Software Foundation
(FSF). There is a vast amount of software that can be used with Linux,
all of which includes features that can compete with or surpass those
of any other operating system in the world.

hello all,
i got a problem on this machine when trying to add packages in global
zone (in this case, blastwave):
## Waiting for up to <300> seconds for package administration commands
to become available (another user is administering packages on zone )
In zoneA, there is a process:
/usr/bin/pkgadm lock -a -q -o zone.*/package.* -w -W 300
On this machine, there are several zones. If i halt zoneA, the pkgadd
won't continue, because the next zone will have the same process "pkgadm
lock"!
On the net, i found nothind about pkgadm lock!? and i can't stop the
other zones at now
anybody can help,
thanks
gerard

I have two T1000 boxes that are in unknown states after they were
configured to test specialized applications. I need to baseline these
boxes back to Solaris 10, but don't have a jumpstart server. These
T1000s have neither a CD/DVD drive nor a USB ports to support an
external drive. So, what are my options here?

Hi,
Have a fresh install of S10 (Sun, not OpenSolaris) on a Netra T1125,
dowloaded cdrom iso, 5 cd's, which installed without a hitch a couple of
weeks ago. Need to install the drivers for the Expert3D card and some
other stuff, but can't find a way to install from the relevant cd, nor
using pkgadd if the files are copied to disk first. Netra is using the
standard keyboard socket / mouse and pci video card, making it much like
a ruggedised Ultra 60, but with easy disk access.
Example driver is the SUNWCifb set, which appears to be split over
several packages on the cd's, but no index of what does what and though
one sun website article talks breezily of 'installers', there appear to
be none on the cd containing the package(s) of interest. The product
registery utility lists all the packages fine, but there seems to be no
way to get it to do the actual install, as there is no installer to find
on the cd !.
Am I missing something obvious here, or is the package install seriously
broken for the cd distribution ?. S10 look brilliant so far otherwise,
though am only scratching the surface so far.
Was so much easier using the old Admintool :-)...

MI5 Persecution:. BBC Newscasters Lie & Deny They're Watching Me
Central to the persecution. campaign waged against me for some nine years
now. by the Security Service is their use of the media, and in particular
the broadcast media, to. make clear to me that I am under surveillance and
being watched within my own home, even by BBC newscasters while they. read
the news. This is really an act of arrogance; MI5 and. their tools in the
television and radio are so sure. that they can never be caught, that they
have many times made explicity clear on. broadcast programmes that they are
as. capable of seeing me as I am of seeing the broadcast pictures. Even
when they have known. I am taping the programmes they still carry on this
practice; for. examples of TVand radio presenters caught "in action", see
the Evidence area of. my website.
If you wish to reply to. this article......
then please include your name and fax number! I. provide the means for
recipients to send me their thoughts on the topics discussed,. but ask that
you provide me with your fax number or email. address if you require a
response. Also would you please send not more than one or two pages, if. by
fax.. Thank-you!
It started with a Newscaster, and it continues. with Newscasters today

Four Years of "MI5. Persecution" Posts on Internet Newsgroups
For. approximately the first three years of the MI5 persecution, from June
1990 until late 1992, I kept as quiet as possible, in the hope that. by not
reacting, MI5s interest in me would decrease. and they would simply go away
of their own accord.. This is the sort of behaviour some people employ
against bullies; if the. bullies arent getting a reaction, then they might
simply go away and. victimize someone else.
Unfortunately, this tactic didnt work.. The quieter I became, the more
shrill and hysterical the noise from the Security Service operatives.. For
about. two years I didnt watch TV news at all. Yet this only heightened
their obsessed fixation;. they continued to follow me wherever I went, they
continued to induce harassment at work. by managers and fellow workers, and
they continued to encourage me to commit suicide.. They seemed to regard my
refusal to react as a crime which they would have to "put right". by ever
more extreme. forms of abuse.

Hi,
I have client and server Solaris.
On the client side, I have a mount NFS that is on a Veritas cluster.
What I need is when the Veritas "package" is moving from one server to
the other member of his Veritas cluster, then the mount NFS follow
automatically.
Is it possible ?
