1.) I'd be stunned if you couldn't set up the Windows virtual machine to
allow network printing at one TCP/IP address, and send it to from Mac OS
running on the same box at a different TCP/IP address.

2.) The Canon MP390 is supported for scanning on OS X, using Vuescan
from http://www.hamrick.com/

(By the way, the correct abbreviation is "Mac" - short for "Macintosh".
"MAC" is an acronym for "Media Access Control", a networking term.)

The short answer is "almost certainly yes".

In general terms, the reason for a USB printer not working on a Mac is
due to lack of drivers for Mac OS X. The printer manufacturer has chosen
to not supply a driver, or enough information for someone else to write
one, or the printer is heavily dependent on something major like the
Windows drawing engine.

  Walgreens Cart Refill for Epson?

Author: gmark
Date: Mar 20, 2008 15:55

I've looked at a lot of stuff on the web concerning refilling inkjet
cartridges, but most of it is pretty old news, and not specific to
Epson. I've got a new CX8400 that uses the Epson 69 series of
cartridges.

Will I have problems with getting these cartridges refilled at
Walgreens? Would I save more if I just bought a refill kit?

Does this particular printer have some sort of chip in the cartridge
or some other mechanism that could cause problems?

I'm not using the printer for other than viewgraphs for work, so
absolutely accurate color isn't a big deal to me.

Or maybe someone else (Office Max? Depot?) does a better job?

Is the savings worth it, and how many times can I refill the same
cartridge?

Thx!

Mark

Q: Will the AEBS work with an HP PSC 1210xi AIO?

Author: Otto Pylot
Date: Mar 15, 2008 17:39

My current router is a Linksys WRT54G. It works just fine for our
wireless and enet connections (1 wired and 1 to 4 wireless). We only
have 1 printer (HP PSC 1210xi All-In-One) and would like to share it
wirelessly when needed. I've read that not all USB printers work with
AEBS and that Apple doesn't have a list onsite for those that do and
those that don't. Does anyone know or have experience with AEBS and the
HP 1210 xi AIO printer? Thanks.

  Epson R200 question

Author: Edwin Hurwitz
Date: Mar 3, 2008 23:09

I am printing from a Macbook Pro running OS X.5.2 and printing files
that have images and text. The images look great, but the text is all
smeared. Is there anything I can do?

TIA
Edwin
