Not what I meant, but probably what it was.
Pizza box, SCSI CDROM in the middle, floppy on the right,
hard drive on the left, AAUI ethernet in back, power supply behind the
floppy with a long rod or something from the button in front to the P.S.

I'm having trouble with Call of Duty 2 on my brand-new Mac Pro dual 2.8
GHz Xeon.
The game runs, but pauses for a fraction of a second about every second
or so, both in the menus and when connected to a server. Obviously, this
makes it hard to play because controlling the player is near impossible
with the delays. It's not related to network bandwidth or anything like
that, because it happens in the menus when I'm not connected to a
server. This same exact game, when installed on my previous Mac G5
tower, ran great.
COD2 was released quite some time ago, before the Mac Pro existed, I
believe. I'm wondering if this is a problem with the code running on an
eight core machine.
I haven't gotten a copy of COD4 yet; but I expect it will run fine on
the Mac Pro.
Anyone else have COD2 running on a Mac Pro?

I assume you mean The Sims 2 - it's been working fine here for my wife
on her Mac Book Pro with several expansion packs installed.
