New iPhone 3G sucks. Why? No tasks/to do hard sync -- again!

Author: nonfiction.notes

Thousands of people asked for this in the last generation of iPhone.
And what is the one feature Apple deliberately leaves out, probably so
you have to use a web service intermediar?

Man, a basic computer-phone do list sync is mandatory, all that other
crap the phone can do seems superfluous by comparison. Gave Apple a
year to fix this. Going back to Outlook and a Nokia. This is a con.

  itunes/airtunes problem

Author: Pluto
Date: Jul 12, 2008 20:28

I have two airport express units (one upstairs, one downstairs) on my
wireless network managed by a Linksys150N router (my "base station"). I
mainly use the airport units to stream music to the respective stereo
speaker systems. I can see both units in my Airport Utility and both
units show a steady green light. However the upstairs bedroom unit
skips the audio, or does not function at all. When I use "multiple
speakers" both units skip, but when I switch to the downstairs unit
alone it works fine.

Does this mean that my upstairs units is slowly giving up the ghost?

I am running the latest itunes and Leopard on a MacBook.

Thanks for any comments or help

.me .mac access to online email prevented by forced tutorial

Author: jachinandboaz

I just tried logging into the new .me/.mac online website to view my
emails, which are now piling up. It accepts the password and I can
see all of my emails behind the annoying forced tutorial banner that
pops up in front of everything and requires you to click on "Play
Tutorial" in order to move forward. Problem is that I'm using PCs
that I do not have permission to download the most recent version of
Quicktime on, so I can't get to any of my email messages because
there's no option to close the banner. Does anyone know of a way of
canceling out of the forced tutorial banner once it appears? Or
does .me/.mac have a support line (haha) that I could call to request
having the banner removed from my profile. Tried using ALT + F4 but
that just closed the whole browser. I'm using Firefox as...

  iPhoto export to web

I have made two web pages of photos, with different templates, but
both say:

Eliquatuero a numsan vent lam, conum facillum init lut doloreet
ullametuero od tet adit, commod velit praese exer aute enit alit,
veliqua modit dolorer.

What does that mean?

One says "Life according to Chelsea".

Where is the setting that I use to get rid of these quirks?

  Missing Synch and me.com

Author: Simon1952

I have learned about the me.com (used to be the iMac.com) and I think I
would like to use parts of this. What I'd like to do is to set up
groups of people who can view my calendar so we can all know when I am
where I am. So I tried setting this up today and I am running into some
problems. One seems to be that I have never tried to do this before and
it seems to be very very new, and groups are not activated just yet.

But it seems that the me.com site most of all wants me to synch my
computer - well the iCal and COntacts and whatever else I select - and I
don't think I can do this. I need a second opinion, please.

I also own a Backberry and I am using the Missing Synch to synch this
thing to my Mac for contacts and calendar and tasks. I think that
iSynch and Missing Synch are mortal foes and never manage to co-exist.
Is my assumption correct? As long as I use the Missing Synch am I
barred from setting up a group in the me.com site and keeping in contact
with others around my iCal data (at least the data that I choose to
release)?

Any help would be appreciated, peoples.

  me.com / dot.mac

So they've apparently finished the transfer. The thing I used most
with dot.mac, besides the convenience of uploading iWeb, which I assume
will work again one day, was the access to my boomkmarks from Safari
despite the fact that I'm on a Windows box in Tokyo in an internet cafe.

So where the heck are my bookmarks with me.com/mobile.me?

Using Safari with Windows Media Player (WMP)?

Author: Salmon Egg

Learner.org (Annenberg Media) has lots of great VOD (Video on Demand).
When I try to access these files from Safari, I get a message that
Safari does not have an appropriate plug-in. I then get asked if want
to try using WMP. I agree. It works. It is awkward.

Does anyone have suggestions. Has anyone accessed Learner via Safari?

I am using Mac Pro with the latest version of Leopard.

  Video Chat with MSN Widow$

Author: Casper Vollenweider

Hi

I have a friend living far away. On the, quite old, windoze computer
only msn video chat runs properly. We tryed Skype, it works at the
beginning but after a while the bloody windoze computer crashes,
probably because of overheating or so.
So what Mac OSX/Intel Software can do Video Chats with MSN/Windoze?
I tryed aMSN, but it did not work at all. This programm didn't eaven
recognize my built in iSight. I only had like 1/8 of the picture very
big and the image was inverted. Plus the video connection did not work,
and I did not get video from the other side too.

So does anyone know a program that can do MSN video chats?

TIA

Regards

Casper
