Another indicator of the dismal, and I mean DISMAL, Linux desktop market
share.

Of course the Linux loonies will protest.

Face it, no matter where you go, what study you use and so forth, the Linux
desktop market share is hovering around 0.6 percent and thats just the way
it is.

The BBC is supporting the Mac because the Macs market share is growing
while the Linux market share is stagnent or decreasing.

600 users a week?

That's pathetic.

Survey shows folks abandoning reg cell phones for RIM & iPhones

From ChangeWave:

http://tinyurl.com/25e6e2

"Record numbers of consumers are abandoning their basic cell phones for
more-advanced models, according to the latest ChangeWave consumer cell
phone survey. The January survey of 4,182 consumers tracked key market
share changes affecting cell phone manufacturers and service providers
alike.

Research In Motion (RIMM) and Apple (AAPL) appear to be the primary
beneficiaries of the seismic shift toward more-advanced cell phones.
Looking ahead, the Apple iPhone is now the top choice among respondents
planning to buy a new cell phone in the next six months (up one point to
17%%), but second-place RIM has the most momentum (up three points to
15%%)."

(This will drive the iPhone haters nuts! )

Why buy Vista or Leopard until all the bugs have been worked out - and
I mean all of them.

zara and other PC and/or Mac users - the truth please

Here's the scenario - considering a small desktop box (such as a
Shuttle) for some dedicated PC projects and would prefer connectivity
via modem with internet but is not necessary, particularly if this will
add to the work load for security. I want to spend my time being
creative, not protection my system from the latest onslaughts.

I don't care anything about flashy shock and awe. I run my XP laptop
most of the time with the system settings at better performance rather
than flashy appearance. I also will absolutely not waste...
