digital out cdrom to receiver

I want to use the digital output of my LG GSA-4163B as input to my
receiver.
It is a weird 2-4 pin connector though.
What do I need to do this?

I found 'S/PDIF brackets' that convert digital output from a
motherboard to an external connector.
Do you think this would work for my CDROM (not going throught the
motherboard)?
