In fact dog is not barking because of village but because of him :)

So please admit, you don't have money to buy so many games that you want
(because you are obsessed with PC games) so you ae just hypocrite ie. you
fight against Valve etc. just to be able to leech their games from Torrent
for free and crack it etc...
Yeah, I say uselles fight!!

BTW, good mainstream game like Company of Heroes will do good regardless of
copy protection or not (they are smart so they will choose not to annoying
protection) because of big PR in magazines and web, and big word of mouth
etc....

Now smaller games have a problem here - they must put some copy protection
because they have bigger chance to sink if pirated too much and also those
who boycott it will do much bigger harm to them than you boycotting Valve
(now that is uselless job of yours as you didn't done any damage to them
maybe just reverse :>)
