What's the refresh rate of your monitor?

Movies have motion blur due to shutter time, and directors avoid fast
panning shots. In FPS shooters we tend to do a lot of fast panning.

For a movie, the equivalent would be to use the standard framerate,
have a very short shutter time (say 1/1000 sec), and move the camera
about excessively. Coincidentally some home videos appear to be done
this way.

PS: I know, most home video cameras don't allow you to adjust shutter
time.

Re: The Witcher 2 new publisher Namco will use "always online DRM"

There seems to be some confusion about who is doing what. CD Projekt
is still the principal publisher. They contract with other publishers
to distribute the game in places they can't reach. NBP is not "Namco".
They are a PAL distribution unit that was bought from Atari. So if the
DRM policy has changed in your PAL region, it's not because of a new
PAL publisher, because the publisher is the same people. And since NBP
is only in PAL, this only affects those parts of the world.

And finally, NBP did not actually say anything about using such DRM in
Witcher 2. They said that they supported the idea, in the context that
no other DRM works, and that the industry has to find a better
solution. I question whether NBP even has the resources to implement
this type of DRM.

That's why I said in an ealier post to use the spear weapon at first (I
forget what it's called in the game, looks a bit like a lance). And stay
away from the wolves until a bit later when you got enough strenght and
skills to face them cause they're tough and vicious. You can outrun all
enemies, even wolves, and they'll stop chasing after a while. Sometimes it's
your best (and only) strategy in the beginning. Arrows were also plentiful
and very cheap (you can re-use them, by the way) almost from the start as
far as I remember.

No, there isn't a single quest that is timed in the entire game as far as I
remember. Gorn will be there waiting to lead you forever, don't worry about
it. But finding the hideout (it's a HIDEOUT, remember? - it's supposed to
be hidden) is not hard without him, just walk around the area and you will
soon see it (there are some steps going down).

In the meantime do yourself a favour and get this interactive G3 map, it's a
wonderful tool given the gargantuan size of the world in this game. Click
on "download" not on "tsdk.rar" or else you'll get an error:
