Looking for cheap PDAs with wireless

Author: parkchan
Date: Sep 16, 2008 20:58

Hi,

I am looking for really cheap PDAs, most likely discontinued models.
Those PDAs need to have built-in GPRS and Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless
technologies.

My given budget is about $160 – $200 per PDA, and I'm looking to buy
80 of them.

I know that it sounds too ambitious, but that's the requirement of the
PDAs and that's the given budget. I need to figure out whether it's
doable or not.

If anyone knows of any PDAs that fit into this description can you let
me know the maker and model number please?

Thanks,
Parkchan

  Franklin eBookman keyboard project

Author:
Date: Aug 4, 2008 15:33

Greetings,

Previous published material describes constructing modifications to
Palm and other maker's keyboards to use with the Franklin eBookman
911; I have described my implementation of a constructed keyboard,
with schematics, construction data and bill-of-materials at:

http://www.cybertheque.org/homebrew/ebookman-kbd

It works well for text entry, in any program that uses text, and
uses an open-source driver from Whitware.

Regards,

Michael

Homebrew wearable keyboard project for handheld PCs

Author:
Date: Jul 30, 2008 02:10

Greetings,

Finding a comfortable and usable wearable keyboard isn't easy these
days; several vendors of military and industrial wearable keyboards
charge nearly $400.00 in unit quantities for a PS/2 version, which
is ample impetus for a d-i-y project. I've posted the results of
my recent homebrew wearable keyboard project here:

http://www.cybertheque.org/homebrew/wearable-kbd

The page gives details of construction and suggestions for materials
to use.

Regards,

Michael
