Amiga 1000 mystery

I know this isn't the Amiga group, but as discussed before, I can't
find an amiga group with any activity on it... so I'm sure somebody
here will know.

This is a big mystery. I've been meaning to ask about it for years.
I have an Amiga 1000 which, when turned on, shows an image of
workbench 1.3 disk. Now, this is the only A1000 I've ever had, but
I'm...

David,

I don't know anything about Amigas, so I'm afraid I can't help you
with your "mystery". However, you may want to post your question
here:

http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/

It's the most active Amiga forum that I know of...

Good luck finding a solution! :-)

If you want to use it for games, stick to kickstart 1.3

You can try a RGB SCART cable for Amiga. Many TV sets can do RGB via
SCART. If you try it, but get sound with a black picture, then you
need to solder a bit to fix the cable for non-1084 use.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. There's activity on
"comp.sys.amiga.games", "comp.sys.amiga.hardware",
"comp.sys.amiga.misc", and "comp.sys.amiga.marketplace", at least.

"comp.sys.amiga.hardware" would have been the most appropriate group for
your question (and I suggest reposting it there.)

[Question about the A1000 mystery Kickstart snipped since I don't have
any personal experience on A1000s. Sorry.]

If you don't have a SCART connector on your TV set, but do have
component (YPbPr) inputs, you could build something like this to convert
the RGB signal to YPbPr signal:

c.s.a.hardware has activity.

Yep, that would be the norm.

So, somebody

Look under the floppy drive because there are additional empty ROM sockets
that could be used for a some sort of kickstart ROM.
