Has anybody used Virtual II to transfer disk images to a real Apple II?

Greetings,

I've recently picked up an old Apple IIe system and have been looking
at different ways to transfer disk images from my Mac Mini to the Apple
II. So far it looks to me like the newest version of ADTPro will work
the best, but I just curious if anyone had used the newest version of
Virtual II for this purpose and if so how well it had worked.

I use to have an Apple IIGS but it died a few years back. Instead of
getting a new motherboard for it I simply tossed it and all the
software I had. Now I'm trying to get all the software back and enjoy
using the old Apple II again. Emulators on the Mac are nice but nothing
beats having the original computer to play games on.

Thanks for any advice in advance,
Dean

I'm not the only one on a mac! A2V2 (Virtual ][s built-in ADT program)
works great. In fact, i'd go so far as to say Virtual ][ was great.
only real downside with ADT/A2V2 is that they're only for 140k DSK
images. I send Shrinkit files with a program called Z-Term on the mac
for things that are bigger. 800k disks on a GS are no problem.

Frank,

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll pick up a copy of Virtual II here
in the near future. Since all I'm interested in transferring to the IIe
is 140k disks I'm not bothered by the limitation. The other nice thing
will be if there is stuff that I've downloaded that I want to run, but
don't care to transfer to real disks, I can use Virtual II to do that.
So I'll have the best of both worlds between the emulator and my real
IIe.

Thanks again,
Dean
