Umm - try posting portions of 60K to make sure it goes through. Usenet
was developed back in the days of slow dialup... and UUCP typically
handled this chunksize.

Hi everybody!

I'm using Thor and I had to change my SMTP server and now I need to
authenticate...

I'm pretty sure I've read, a long time ago!!, something about this but with
google I've only found the online Thor's FAQ on Thule's web...

Do I have to change the SMTP server? :-))

Ciao, Giangi (hoping that someone is listening...)

  Non-card networking

Now I know this is likely near-impossible... but is there a way to
network an A4000 into an XP machine without any add-in hardware? I
remember the nightmare i had trying to PARnet two windows machines
together. So i don't know if the headache is worth it... but when i
finally get a replacement 4000 I would very much like to have internet
access with it using my XP machine as a hub.

Anyway I'd also eventually like to setup a BBS-looking site to post my
MODs and MEDs to. Something about those old BBS days... somehow it
was better than the graphical crapshow we have now.

Okay so essentially: has anyone done a PARnet or possibly a modem
(yes! I found my 2400 Baud external! hahaha good times) network
between a 4000 (assume OS3.9) and a windows machine?

  just a short test

I'm trying to achieve a MicroDOT II, AmigaSYS news.

It seems that my two messages have been eaten by the server 'cause I
can't see them in Agent down in Vista.

The problem, it seems is that the "To:" field was with something with
it.

Then again, the first two out of some reasons might have been wasted
by the server.

Now trying with my name in the To: field.

  SMTPd

Author: Everett M. Greene
Date: Jan 31, 2008 23:46

I am using SMTPd from many moons ago as my email poster.
[Why change if it works?]

Recently, I was trying to generate a number of test messages
to send to myself for purposes of testing a mailreader of my
own design and construction. When I generated the messages,
SMTPd didn't recognize their being present and wouldn't send
them. All the messages are placed in amitcp:mailspool where
SMTPd is supposed to be looking for them and both X.zzz and
D.zzz files are created there for each message.

Does anyone know if SMTPd has some magic incantation for which
it's looking to recognize what it considers to be "approved"
messages to send?
