Hi All

I'm a Giganews subscriber and they recently sent out a mail to all their
subscribers telling them that they had enabled access to their news servers over
SSL (nntps) and gave a list of SSL enabled news readers. I asked them whether
they'd help me to add SSL support to Pronews and they were very polite but
basically told me to go RTF the OpenSSL Manual. Not much use when you don't have
any idea of where to start... so I started to look at it and realised that their
instructions on how to use Stunnel under Windows could also apply for OS/2 since
we already have a port of Stunnel to OS/2 (Thanks Paul). Here's what I did to
get it to work for Pronews/2 - other newsreaders would be similarly easy to set
up.

1) Download the latest OS/2 port of Stunnel from
http://stunnel.mirt.net/downloads.html - I clicked the link to
ftp://stunnel.mirt.net/stunnel/contrib/os2 and grabbed stunnel-4.17-os2.zip
which appears to be the latest for OS/2 at present.

2) Unzip this somewhere - e.g. g:\stunnel

I'm evaluating ProNews in case I decide to switch to PMMail and some other
news reader.

Is there a way to delete individual headers form the local index? What I
like to do is keep a lot of headers around for reference, but I want to be
more selective that just purging by date.

Also, is there a catch up mode that allows one to fetch a specific number
of recent headers?

Don't know whether this is a browser question or
for this group, so will start off here.

I use PMMAIL (last release) and latest FIREFOX.
I want to make it so that FIREFOX opens up PMMail
when an e-mail address is clicked on
