  (socket) send transmits data on same packet

Author: alexia.bee

Hi all,

I noticed that when I use send() function to send data to remote PC, I
see all the data on same packet (Wireshark) even though I used send
more than once.

For example,

send("er");

send("an");

send("ya");

I will see the data on same packet rether than 3 packets.

thanks.

  LSP UDP Packets

Author: Matt

Hello,

I have an lsp that is layered over MSAFD Tcip[TCP/IP], MSAFD Tcip[UDP/IP],
MSAFD Tcip[RAW/IP].

Should this LSP see UDP packets? It does not seem to even load my LSP (I put
some debugging code in DllMain) when I have a client that only uses UDP to
send data? Is this the correct operation? Or is there something I am missing
in the installation to catch UDP packets? Is it possible to have the UDP
packets go through the lsp?

  Computer Lab

Author: Justin
Date: May 24, 2008 16:08

I'm doing an IT project in Africa next month in which I will be
setting up a 15-computer lab. I would like to set it up such that a
student can log on to a personalize account on any of the machines. To
my knowledge, this is not possible with Windows XP Pro workgroups
alone. I'm looking for the lowest-cost, simplest solution (since it
will need to be maintained after I leave). Do I need to set up a
domain? Does this mean I need to buy a Windows server? Can I do it
with Samba?

Thanks a ton.

  Bluetooth host unattended

Author:

I need to communicate between an embedded system and a Windows computer using
Bluetooth. I've got the embedded end under control, using a Pirani BT-serial
module. My problem is on the Windows end. I want to use a USB-BT module, like
the Linksys USBBT100. The Linksys module presents a virtual COM port for
Windows applications. My Windows application needs to run on an unattended
Windows computer in a factory environment, to receive data from my embedded
system and store it.

To test the feasibility of this approach, I have two computers. One has the
Linksys USB-BT module installed, and it will play the role of the host. The
other computer's serial port is connected to the Pirani module and it stands in
for the embedded system that will eventually be connected to the Pirani.

  Copy problem over a LAN

Author: sherwindu

I am trying to copy my entire C drive from a Windows 2000 system
to a Vista machine via a Linksys router. I tried doing it with a drag and
drop on the Vista machine, but it only copied about 10%% of the
file. I suppose it is a permissions thing. The files I want are under a
user sign on on the 2000 machine in a FAT32 partition. The target
folder is also a FAT32 partition on the VISTA machine. Vista has
some problems accessing FAT32 files. Also, I would like to get a
complete image of the C drive, including folders and sub-folders.
Can I do this over a WORKGROUP connection?
