Hi there,
I was wondering if anybody is using a Motion Computing LE1700 Slate with
Linux.
The Hardware seems to be a more or less generic Centrino System. And it does
indeed work out of the Box using a Live Linux System.
Anyway, I did not yet manage to get the digitizer working.
Unfortunately neither lsusb nor lspci do show up any suitable device.
Any hint?
Sven

Hi guys,
I've a C++ framework. It would be great to complete the port to Linux for
several reasons:
(1) It uses STDLIB.
(2) It works with GCC
(3) It is 100%% implemented on WIN32 (about 90%% on Linux)
(4) I use it all of my commercial products
(5) It has support for POSIX file systems, indexing, embedded database,
POP3, NNTP, email, RFC Servers, Logging, and much, much, more.
While I do not have the time to do much with it at the moment (gotta earn a
living, etc), I wanted to see if anyone might be interested in the port.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/stdnoj/
Just #define UNIX or WIN32 to see what is what.
Thanks,
Rn

I'm about to get a new laptop. I'm leaning towards the T61 with a 15.4"
1650x1080 screen. Lenovo only offers Intel Graphics on the SuSE version,
to get Nvidia I'd have to hold my nose and get one with Windows.
I'm interested in hearing from T61 users who have the Intel graphics
option with a high resolution screen. Are you happy with the performance?
Does it have it's on RAM or is it sharing the processor's memory?
Thanks.

I doubt that one exists however it would be easy to do that with Fedora9.
F9 has added a couple of features that make custom LiveCDs really easy.
If you want a CD or DVD you can create a custom image that includes
anything you want. If you use a USB FLASH drive it's even easier. You
install the F9 LiveCD image using the overlay feature. Overlays make the
USB LiveCD act like a normal Fedora system, i.e. you can install
additional software, create user accounts, and modify the system just as
you would if it was on a hard drive. You would install VMware just like
you would on a regular Fedora box. I don't know if VMware 1.0.5 will run
on a 2.6.25 kernel but the beta of VMware Server 2.0 does, I have VMware
Server 2.0 running on a couple of F9 systems.
