We're having a clear out and this has got to go unfortunately. A very
nice example. All working properly to the best of my knowledge.
Matrox Millennium graphics. Quantum Viking II 9.1GB hard disk.
Currently in the UK. I thought I should post here first before
putting it on eBay.

I'm looking for a replacement 667MHz 4MB CPU module for my Alpha
Processor/API Networks UP2000+. Does anyone here know where I can
find one for a reasonable price (it is for hobbyist use)?
Thanks in advance,

P.S. I live in the US.

Hello friends,
SafeSquid, Linux based Content Filtering Internet Proxy, Version
4.2.2.RC8.2 has been released.
Highlights:
A memory leak in request forwarding has been fixed. The disk cleaning
mechanism has been rolled back. Logs have been fixed to report
"username@IP_ADDRESS". Crashing due to incompatible values set in the
global sub-section has been fixed. Repeated authentication challenges
have been fixed. cProfiles (a Web site profiler) has been added. The
SafeSquid init script has been enhanced. Automatic log rotation has
been improved. There are major optimizations to allow handling of more

Cheers.

Hi,
I've got an Alphaserver DS20L and I'm looking for some parts for it.
Two in particular.
HP Part numbers:
17-05140-01 - a double connector 50 pin JAE slim CD-ROM cable
17-05142-01 - hard drive installation kit
Anyone know where I can get these without getting a new-one ripped in
me? I'm also open to suggestions for alternative parts.
The HP parts website it terrible and always times out. 3rd Party sites
I come across when I google these part numbers look like they'll fold
as soon as I send them my money. Plus, having to 'get a quote' is a
pain in the ass.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

By default the Linux-Alpha kernel fixes unaligned accesses and logs
their occurence. One can control this behaviour, and the uace utility
does this.
Example usages:
1) I won't fix mysqladmin, so I don't want to see the "unaligned trap"
messages in the logs:
uace noprint mysqladmin
2) I am developing Forth code, and want to get a SIGBUS (and the
corresponding backtrace) when I do an unaligned access:
uace sigbus noprint gforth
3) I want all further processes started from this shell session not to
log "unaligned trap" messages:
exec uace noprint $SHELL
4) Reenable Linux default, e.g. after 3):
exec uace $SHELL
Note that all children of the uaced process are affected, too.
You find the source code at < http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/anton/uace.c>

What, exactly, does this announcement have to do with the
(originally DEC) 64-bit AXP instruction set architecture?
