Damn Small Linux

Though I firmly believe in re-using old machines...I have to draw the line
somewhere.

My general rule is that if it's a P-II or above...the machine is re-usable
but P1's and below go to the computer recycling center.

Yesterday I was give a p-1 200 mhz with a whopping 48 megs of RAM.

Rather than recycle it I decided to pull the modem and pop in a net card...
then I installed Damn Small Linux.

In about half an hour...the machine was up and running just fine.

Even though I've been recommending DSL for a few years now...
don't think I actually had tried it on a machine with that little RAM.

It will soon have a new home...
and it won't be in the recycle bin quite yet!
