This VB routine creates a blank screen and adds a 5x5 picture grid to it

For i = 0 To 24

This is a portable music and video player. I bought it for my wife as
a present (with 30 GB of memory though). It arrived and looked interesting.
It does not require any "software", to the computer it looks like a
USB drive, which it is. So you just copy your movies to it for
viewing.
It works fine and handles very many video formats. My wife likes
movies, so, I hope, she will enjoy it.
When it booted up, it looked kind of suspiciously linux-y with nice
blue colors and menus. So I did some searches and learned that it is
indeed a Linux device. It runs Linux OS inside. Cowon used GPLed
software, so they were obligated to release their source code. Here's
something I found for a previous player.

Very interesting. Many consumer devices, for example TiVO, are also
Linux based.

A few months back I saw a cartoon on the web that I would like to send
to a friend. I've googled for it and can't seem to find it.
I thought I would try here to see if anyone knows that cartoon and
where it is.
The first frame shows a Bill Gates type of character is a 3 piece suit
saying "I am Windows". The next frame has a bohemian type of
character saying "I am Mac". The next frame has a guy with short
hair, a polo shirt saying "I am Linux". The final frame shows the
Windows and Mac dude tackling the Linux guy.
Anyone have a URL for it?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Well, this is an interesting argument, but not for the reasons you think.
When one buys a car, they are provided with different options. Heated
seats. Power windows. A/C. Engines. Drivetrain options like standard
transmission and 4WD.
My truck (1998 Chevy K1500) came with different options. For example, the
engine options are 4.3l V-6 (weak!), 4.9l V-8, 5.7l V-8 (I have this),
5.7l Diesel V-8. There might be other options, but this is enough to make
my point. (I'm not going to even attempt to make comparisons between
engine sizes and operating systems because it's really an apples/oranges
comparison).
Noone is saying that we shouldn't ship a computer without the Operating
System, but that the forced bundling of Microsoft Products should be
stopped. That's like saying that all trucks should only come with a 4.3l
V-6 (gag).

In the mid nineties they decided it was okay to change their unlimited
dial up plans to I think 50 hours a month. I think that bright idea
was scrapped 2 or 3 months later.
