Hey folks,
I'm trying to make my Sent folder be completely linear, sorted by date.
This isn't accomplishing it:
folder-hook Sent "set sort=reverse-date-sent ; unset sort_aux"
folder-hook Sent "set simple_search=\"~t %%s | ~s %%s\""
folder-hook Sent "set pager_index_lines=6"
folder-hook !Sent "set sort=threads ; set sort_aux=reverse-date-sent"
folder-hook !Sent "set simple_search=\"~f %%s | ~s %%s\""
folder-hook !Sent "set pager_index_lines=0"
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Mike

Haven't been able to connect to the mutt.org web site since yesterday.
I just thought I'd report it in case the owner isn't aware.

mailcap entry for type text/html not found
What might be the cause of that?
And what to do about it?
(Maybe *I* screwed-up by deleting something I shouldn't have?)
Thanks,
David

Sorry if this is a FAQ but I have googled and rtfm'ed and can't
find an answer.
I frequently receive e-mails that contain an HTML attachment
accompanied by one or more attached image files that are
meant to be in-lined within the HTML. Each image is
referenced in the HTML by a URL such as:
cid:__0@ Foxmail.net
in an IMG tag like this:
 Foxmail.net" width=600>
which corresponds to headers for the image file such as:
Content-Type: image/jpeg;
name="2211A95FA0734E5082CB215B396AC4991.JPG"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-ID: <__0@ Foxmail.net>
[the base64-encoded image data follows here]
The "cid:" URL matches up with the "Content-ID:" header.
I've put an example of such an e-mail on my website here:

A rather simple question:
What if I want to, in some way, highlight various kinds of messages in
the message index, can I do that?
For example, maybe I'd like:
- one color/background for messages marked as (F)rom me
- another for messages I have marked with '!'
- a third for tagged messages ('*')
- a fourth for messages only to me ('+')
If I recall correctly, I experiemented with "color index ..." some
months back, and found that I couldn't make it trigger on these
message flags.
I'd like to have that feature, because while I like the flags F!*+ and
so on, they are not easy to see when browsing a huge mailbox.

Hi folks,
I compiled both the latest 1.4 and 1.5 sources on my Debian box,
with --enable-imap, and I have a problem, while in 1.4 and before
old messages are correctly marked O, this is no longer the case
with 1.5.
What's up, did the IMAP source base change such dramatically?
Will this feature come back?
I hate being stucked with 1.4, maybe I will give imapsync a try
and read my mail locally.

Is it possible to have Mutt poll for new emails when it is reading an
IMAP server? Or do you have to restat Mutt each time to see the new
mails?
I told it to watch the IMAP folder but nothing happens.

Hello,
What calendar application mutt gurus are using?
Actually, i am importing meeting.ics file in korganizer. but it seems
there is bug in korganizer which restes time to GMT. Just wanted to
know what setup mutt users are using. What I want is when I receive
any calendar file attached, that should be added to korganizer which
in turn updates my google calendar.
Thanks
Jagadeesh

It seems that mutt is ignoring the locale setting when displaying text:
My terminals have native ISO-8859-1 (latin1) and locale is set properly.
But mails with a different character set are not converted into ISO-8859-1
when displaying. For example, UTF-8 is displayed binary and not in
ISO-8859-1. This looks like:

framstag has uploaded the file

(2009 kB) for you.
The relevant headers of this mail are:
