When you do a comlpletely new installation of Eudora, on a computer
where no Eudora was installed before (means, with no "old" files or
settings lying around somewhere), the "Eudora folder" is installed in
the "Documents" folder. This was, if I am not totally mistaken, the case
since about Eudora 5 (maybe even since version 4) on the "old" MacOS and
continued until the most recent version. And since all mails are stored
in the "Eudora folder", I can even understand what the programmers
thought (which is not the case in all programs I own).

So I am wondering why you had yours in a different location...?

Eudora, how is there not enough memory in OS X?

Author: Allomorph
Date: Sep 9, 2008 04:02

Until now I've successfully run Eudora 6.2.4 in 10.3.9, but having not
checked my Yahoo mail through Eudora for a while, it's now failing with
"The operation failed; there was not enough memory. -116, {30:2551}".
In the past Eudora has downloaded as much as it could given disk/memory
space, but not now. What's going on? Is there a way to specify how
much Eudora downloads? OS X Mail is able to download my mail, but I
prefer to selectively remove messages from the POP server, and my
version of Mail seems incapable of that (it's remove all or nothing?).

6.2.4 Panther 'Couldn't Read YourSettings' random error.

OK the mailbox problem seems to be solved.

Now, on occasion, I still get ...

'Couldn't Read Your Settings'
65962468+ 227(-39); The end of file has been unexpectedly reached.
{90:914}

Then
'Eudora could not check mail in the background.
Try closing some windows or switch background threading off.
-39 (90:435)'

background is off, this will sometimes pop up with no windows open.

The pain is that Eudora won't do anything until the error dialogs are
closed.

Q: odd behavior with outgoing message

Author: George Nospam
Date: Aug 28, 2008 07:00

Greetings!

I just added this newsgroup, have never read it before. I have a
question about Eudora 6.2.4 Pro under Mac OS X 10.54. I don't usually
set up specialized mailboxes, but I did it just recently for a hiring
process. I move applications into that special mailbox. When I reply to
a message in this mailbox, Eudora wants to bcc the reply to that
mailbox. I'd rather have all my outgoing email in a single Out box, so I
delete the bcc line and queue, then send the message. It immediately
disappears from my Out box, although it gets delivered and isn't copied
to the special mailbox where the applicant's message resides. This feels
like a bug to me; just because I have "bcc to original mailbox" checked
in the Settings shouldn't override the setting to save sent mail, should
it?

Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution?

Thanks in advance!

If one has created an address book within the Eudora adress book, is it
possible to export this one and only this one?

  Eudora Email text color

Author: Mac G

I set my Eudora text color to blue, but I find that although I see blue
text; the blue isn't seen by those receiving my Email.
Also when I pull down the color menu blue isn't shown unless I select
blue in that menu.

I'm getting blue over this text color situation.

  Eudora and 2 ISPs

my e mail address is @ verizon.net and Verizon is my home ISP DSL
provider

I am temporarily located in AT&T territory and have a DSL account with
att

I can still receive e-mail in my temporary location at my verizon
account using eudora and and their POP server incoming.verizon.net but
when I try to send mail using either Verizion's SMTP server
outgoing.verizon.com or AT&T's SMTP server smtp.att.yahoo.com the
message does not get sent and I get an error message .

AT&Ts tech support only does the basics for Eudora and Apple's Mail.
Similar problems occur with Apple's mail

Has any one out there solved this problem or should I be resigned to
using web mail.

Hints. TIA
