I wouldn't agree to that pessimistic view of things. As it has always
been, the younger generation has difficulties their parents did not
have or mastered easily.
Those kids of today make use of the opportunities prvided to them by
the new technologies. And quite a lot of them even learn to look
behind the surfaces - thank to the human curiosity.
I tend to be optimistic about our children. Since we ourselves did not
develop according to the ideals our parents had, I am sure our kids
will also find their way and become decent members of the future
society. (Although I wonder if our elder son will manage to do so - he
is a bit of a nuisance, I like that age of about 16).
