looking for an solution on pausing generation and acqusition

Author: alanxie

We need an application on PXI 6551 to send stimulus and acquire data back. Then compare with the expected response data. All the stimulus and response data are saved in an HWS file. What makes it difficult is that, we need a way to pause the generation and acquistion somewhere in the middle so that we can measure the current on the DUT. I have looked at the document on NI digital waveform Generator/Analyzer Help. The only VI that seems to be able to pause the generation and acqusition is the Pause Trigger. However, when I read that VI (niHSDIO Config Trigger - Digital Level pause trigger), it need a trigger source, which could be PFI<0:3>, etc. The question here is that, in my application, I don't know how to create an external event on PFI<0:3>. All I have is the HWS file contains...

Count the # of time the instr excutes in 1 sec.

Dear all,

I am currently working on part of a sweeping carrier program and now I need to determine the # of samples generated in 1sec. I tried to connect a 1 sec elapsed timer to the loop condition of the while loop and also a indicator to monitor the n value of the count. The result I obtained is quite low (about 35377 samples/sec). I need more than 781250sample/sec as I need to feed into my AWG hardware later.

To basically monitor the # of sample generate per sec, I wonder if I had connect the timer and the indicator correctly. If my program in deep can only generate 35377 sample/sec, please advice me how I can modify my program to generate more that 781250 sample / sec.

For you info, I am using the following sets of parameter...

How can i write a sign string in VISA Write?

Author: Piccoli
Date: Jul 16, 2008 18:10

Hello everybody. I would like someone to help me. I have an
array, which is transformed (by Byte Array to String) in a string that
reaches the VISA Write Serial Port. My problem is that when making the
transformation with Byte Array to String, i  lose all the bytes with sign
(negative). What can I do? I don't want to  lose the sign bytes and be able to send them to VISA Write Serial Port. Thank you very much.

How to canel a FOR LOOP when used in a Producer - Consumer Que format

Author: Tim C.
Date: Jul 16, 2008 17:40

Hello

How do you cancel a FOR LOOP of While Loop structure that has been launched via a QUE Event when using a procer / Consumer format?

I was hoping to not have to use a property node or local variable.

I'm not sure about this, but once a consumer event has been triggered and there is a long duration for loop that has been initiated is there
any way of getting a canel bool into the event to cancel the for loop?

Thanks
Tim C.

Front Panel Keypad for LabVIEW FPGA

Author: troy.perales

I'd like to create a front panel control that simulates a 16-button keypad (0x0 - 0xF) to be used in LabVIEW FPGA.

For example, if a user wanted to use a virtual keypad in their design, the control could be added to the front panel. The block diagram icon would allow access to the binary representation of the button pressed on the front panel.

Is this possible in LabVIEW FPGA? If so, mind giving me a few pointers on how to accomplish this? I'm not familiar with making front panel objects.

Thanks.

  how to match two curves?

Author: stephenzhou74

Hello? I have two curves. They have the same shape.See attached file curve1.txt and curve2.txt, these two curves have different length. For the curve2, if I manually multiply X by 0.017, multiply Y by 0.22, then curve2 will agree well with curve 1.Is there a way in labview to find out these coefficients by curve fitting etc.?Thanks a lot!

I'm trying to do a gated trigger with my M series card, and i found an example on how to do that in "DigitalStartandStopTrigger.vi" from NI website. But after i run it, i got the error code and i don't understand why.

Thank,
